All reservations need to provided name/surname of each guest who will stay at the property. All the guests need to provide ID on arrival. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. Please inform London Lawrence Road Room to Let in advance of your expected arrival time. 61歲王女士為肝硬化患者，都有定期追蹤肝功能，99年1月時發現肝癌，為第一期患者，即施以肝腫瘤切除手術，99年7月發現癌細胞轉移肺部，先施以肝動脈栓塞治療，再施以胸腔手術，術後恢復良好，術後固定每3個月門診追蹤，至今已7年。
衛福部統計，全台每年新增1萬1千名肝癌患者，奪走超過8千條寶貴性命，肝癌高居國人癌症十大死因第2名。肝臟24小時不眠不休默默地工作，由於肝臟神經分布在表面，當肝臟出現小腫瘤時，身體幾乎不會出現不適症狀，如果沒有定期篩檢，非常容易被忽略。
台南市立醫院吳明和名譽院長提出，從99年至今，他共為25位肝癌轉移至胸腔或鄰近橫膈的患者進行胸腔手術，累積了28次手術共45處的病灶切除。包含肝外轉移的肺與胸壁轉移，以及肝內轉移的橫膈與肝頂，採胸腔鏡手術切除肺葉、肺節、肝、橫膈。
吳明和醫師說，這25位接受手術的患者，僅12位是肝癌第一期，但經過手術積極治療，存活曲線可達到國健署所統計第一期肝癌患者的5年存活率，顯示不論是哪一期患者，只要積極治療都是面對癌症的最佳對策。
據統計每年因肝癌而失去生命者，有60％至70％是始於B、C肝，15％則非B、C肝帶原者，如酒精性肝炎，以及肥胖造成的脂肪肝，也都有可能演變為肝硬化及肝癌。B肝帶原者、C型肝炎感染者、肝硬化病人，或有家族肝癌病史，就是肝癌的高危險群，務必定期做肝癌篩檢。吳明和醫師提醒，早期發現早期治療，並強調任何癌症都要積極治療，為生命爭取生機。
